In 2000 Common asked  The Questions  “If I’m an intellectual, I can’t be sexual?” While most people would consider so-called conscious rappers to be above professing their lustful thoughts on wax, there are plenty of songs to prove otherwise. While we all appreciate the romantic side of these artist and pedestal in which they often put black women, when they get dirty, they gets dirty. Most “backpack” rappers have such a command of the english language they can communicate desire and lust in such a way it doesn’t seem off-putting.
